Abstract
Female had gone through a difficult way in the history of Olympic Games. The purpose of this study is to inquire into the launch and development on female’s participation in Olympic Games in relation to Taiwan female’s participation and performance in order to find out the advantages for the development of competitive sports.
This study adopts historical research method and literacy analysis method, and the following conclusions were obtained through collections of historical data and literacy, careful study and analysis so as to interpretation and summary.
1. Women’s participation in the very begging of the Olympic Games history was completed prohibited. However because of the rising of women’s right and the support of policy, female players won the right of participation and set an important milestone in Olympic Games.
2. With the rising of women’s status in the aspects of politics, economy, culture and society in Taiwan for the past one hundred years women participated the Olympic Games for the very first time in 1960 and opened the road to the games for women in Taiwan, which had also won Taiwan plenty of good scores and recognition.
3. Female players from Taiwan, possessing the quality of a good
player and support from their society, had a great performance in the competition which is without limitation of strength, body size and classification of weigh, created their advantages in the game, and gained encourage and reward from their nation.
