Summary: | 碩士 === 國立屏東教育大學 === 社會科教育學系碩士班 === 97 === The purpose of the study is to explore the relationship between emotional management on elementary school students and classroom climate. The research method is questionnaire survey. The instrument is a self-designed“Emotional Management and Classroom Climate Questionnaire. ” The subjects were 635 public elementary school students in Kaohsiung city. The data were collected and analyzed by descriptive statistics, dependent-samples one-way ANOVA, t-test, independent-samples one-way ANOVA, Person’s product-moment correlation and multiple stepwise regression procedure. The conclusions of the study are obtained as follows﹕
1. The emotional management ability of the elementary school students is good. The best of all is“the awareness of emotion ”.
2. The type of closeness is the highest score on classroom climate of elementary school students.
3. On emotional management, the girls perform better than the boys and the students with parents are better than single-parent families.
4. On the awareness of emotion, the sixth grade students are better than the fourth grade students.
5. On the type of participation and closeness, the fourth grade students are higher than the sixth grade students. On the type of apathy and conflict, the sixth grade students are higher than the fourth grade students.
6. On the the type of conflict , the students of single-parent families have higher aware than the students of two-parent families.
7. On the awareness of emotion, the expression of emotion, and the adjustment of emotion, the higher elementary school students’ability is, the higher the type of participation and closeness is.
8. The ability on emotional management on elementary school students can affect classroom climate, especially the expression of emotion the most.
Finally, according to the results of this study, some suggestions were offered to school administrant, teachers, families and the future researchers.
