Summary: | 碩士 === 國立澎湖科技大學 === 觀光休閒事業管理研究所 === 97 === The study was to discuss the relationship among activity involvement, place attachment, experiential value and revisiting willingness on heritage tourism in the Erkan Village, Siyu Township, Penghu. Activity involvement means the overall performance of an individual who participated in leisure and recreation activities. It could be an important variable to measure the tourists’ behavior in leisure and recreation area. Place attachment means an affective definition that is given by tourist for the recreation environment. Experiential value focuses on evaluating the value of visitors participate in recreational activities. After an individual interacted with activities, preferences and cognitions impacted revisit willingness. For those reasons, through a model which combined with activity involvement, place attachment, experiential value and revisiting willingness, the relationship of activity involvement with an individual and place attachment in the recreation environment, and the relationship of experiential value between with revisit willingness can be comprehended.
The survey was conducted by questionnaires. The research samples were tourists who visited Erkan Village, Siyu Township, Penghu. Data were collected by convenience sampling technique. Total number of valid questionnaires was 448. Complying with research purpose and verifying hypothesis, item analysis, descriptive Statistics and structural equation modeling (SEM) were used to analyze data.
According to the structure of statistical samples, tourists who visited Erkan Village are younger. The ranges of age are from 20 to 39, the proportions of men and women are half respectively. Their characters are high level of education, unmarried, not make a lot of money and having much time.
Because of mass tourism environment, it lead heritage tourist to be short-term and low-consumption groups. Visitors came here with family and friends, but stayed at short time. In other words, almost tourists visited there by tourist agency arranging, just a few realized the evolution and history of Erkan village.
The findings were summarized as follows:
1. Heritage tourists’ attraction positively related with place dependence.
2. Self expression had positively relationship with place dependence.
3. Centrality had positively relationship with place identity.
4. Place dependence had positively relationship with place identity.
5. Place identity had positively relationship with experiential value.
6. Attraction had positively relationship with experiential value.
7. Heritage tourists’ centrality had negative relationship with experiential value.
8. Experiential value had positively relationship with revisiting willingness.
