This study is about life attitudes of the high leaders and the implementation of the life education in their colleges/universities, and their relationship is also investigated. The adapted method of this study is using the questionnaire which was revised by the researcher named ”The scale of the high leaders’ life attitude and the implementation of the life education in their colleges/universities”. The random samples were the high leaders of whole country’s colleges/universities. 720 copies of questionnaires were mailed and 521 were replied. The receiving rate was 72.36 percent. The effective data based on the questionnaire were then processed with the statistic software SPSS for 12.0, which offered statistical analyses by using the descriptive statistics, t-test, one-way ANOVA, one-way MANOVA, Scheffé posteriori comparison test and Pearson’s product-moment correlation to stepwise multiple regression analysis.
The findings were summarized as follows:
1. The high leaders’ life attitudes of the colleges/universities are generally fine, and the strongest feelings are love and caring.
2. The implementation of life education in the colleges/universities is ordinary, but administrative supports are not enough.
3. There are significant differences, on the aspect of life attitude, for the most part of high leaders in different colleges/universities.
4. There are significant differences, on the aspect of life attitude, for the most part of high leader in different personal backgrounds.
5. There are significant differences, on the aspect of life attitude, for the most part of high leaders’ experiences in different environments.
6. There are significant differences in the implementation of life education among the different colleges/universities.
7. There are significant positive correlations, in whole set and all dimensions, between the high leaders’ life attitudes and the colleges’/universities’ implementation of life education.
8. The four dimensions of high leaders’ life attitudes – life experiences, love and caring, ideas and sense of existence – have predictive power to the implementation of school life education.
According to the result of this study, some suggestions are referred to colleges and universities, high leaders, course design of life education, educational authorities and further studies in this field.
