Based on the quasi-experimental design, experimental group applied Problem-Based Learning, and control group applied didactic instruction in contrast. Research subject is two classes of one fifth grade of elementary school in Kaohsiung County. Through examination and questionnaire, collect and analyze the data, the major findings of this study were listed in the following: 1.Both instructions are contributive to energy cognition. 2.Problem-Based Learning enhances the interest of learning for students, and significantly increases the effectiveness of learning energy cognition. 3.Problem-Based Learning is contributive to enhance the attitude of energy saving. 4.Problem-Based Learning extends the effectiveness of learning energy cognition. 5.Problem-Based Learning significantly influences the development of cognition and attitude for mid and low learning ability of school children. 6.The fifth grades of elementary school children are able to take Problem-Based Learning.
