The result of this survey shows the lack of teaching materials, Japanese cultural information, and teaching method’s information in the Japanese educational field. To be a teacher, one has to develop new teaching materials and enrich teaching resources. The main object in this research is to analyze the use of animation as a teaching material in Japanese cultural education. This research can be divided into five chapters; in chapter one, the writer illustrates the motivation, goals, contents, and methods of this research. The writer also explores related articles of this research and explains the characteristics of this research. In chapter two, analyzes different types of instructional media, and instructional media’s advantages and disadvantages. This chapter also includes the discussion of using instructional media. In addition, it analyzes the efficiency of using audio-visual media in the field of Audio-Visual Education. In chapter three, according to the teaching contents, teaching materials and teaching methods analyze the Japanese cultural education both in Japan and in Taiwan. In Taiwan, the Japanese agitation leads Taiwanese to learn Japanese. In chapter four, the writer analyzes the Japanese learner’s motivation and researches the Japanese cultural elements in Japanese animation. And takes the animation “Spirited Away” of sample to researches included Japanese culture. Finally, the writer uses “Spirited Away” as a teaching material to design the teaching proposal for the education of Japanese culture.
