Therefore, simple expressions for directions A+B would equal compound expressions for direction. Therefore, out of the 13 compound expressions for direction, only “rise and go” is not included. As described in 野村(2007),“At the same time that an author is thinking, his language expression will also affect his literary style. Therefore, literary style is determined absolutely by the author’s thought process. What is meant by the thought process is an expression of oneself(P.33with author’s translation). Therefore, if the expression “rise and go” is an active vocabulary in the writer’s mind, it will surely be expressed when appropriate. This essay bases referring specifically to the rarely-used Chinese expression “rise and go,” the author would like to explore the direction of the term ”rise”, “go”, “rise and go” through the lens of the mathematics “vector” and elucidate the characteristics of its usage. In addition, the corresponding expression of “rise” in Japanese will also be explored as supporting text, in order to examine the parallels of “rise and go” and further understand the meaning’s structure of “rise and go”.
