So, during the process of asking self growth, the teachers hope there is a strategy or tool which can help them to combine the growth of teaching and the development of professional knowledge. The preparation of teaching portfolios can let the teachers to leave the record of teaching process, which is a concrete practice to help them to march towards the professional growth. Thus, the main purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of teaching portfolios on the professional development in the society learning field for elementary school teachers. The concrete purpose of this is divided into the following three points: 1. Study the process for the teachers to prepare the developmental teaching portfolios in the society learning field. 2. Analyze the change of teaching behavior and the situation of professional growth for teachers, after they use the developmental teaching portfolios. 3. Study the efficacy of developmental teaching portfolios employed by teachers in the society learning field. This study chooses two teacher colleagues and researchers to carry on the analysis for the preparation of curricular developmental teaching portfolios. The characteristic research method is adopted to collect the research information through the advanced learning, literature reading, teaching design, observing, feedback meeting etc. The major conclusion of this study is shown as follows: Let the professional development of teachers can be implemented really and concretely. 1. The establishment process of the developmental teaching portfolios in the society learning field includes: (1) Start for the establishment of file; (2) Development and process of plan; (3) Preparation of the developmental teaching portfolios. 2. The performance of professional growth in the society learning field for teachers after preparing the developmental teaching portfolios: (1) Change of the professional attitude; (2) Growth on utilizing the knowledge of society curriculum and solving the teaching problem; (3) Change of the teaching behavior; (4) Preparation of the developmental teaching portfolios and the promotion for preparation ability of the s society curriculum file. 3. The efficacy of developmental teaching portfolios employed by elementary school teachers in the society learning field: (1) The efficacy of the advanced learning and filing – Let the accumulation of teachers’ professional knowledge become apparent outside. The storage way of this knowledge is apt to be studied and the weed will be removed to achieve the goal of implicit knowledge, application, share and innovation. (2) The efficacy of plan and filing – Achieve the optimal teaching with innovation, lively, and diversity, improve the learning interest of students, and make the teachers to review themselves and revise the teaching content. (3) The efficacy of observing, recording and filing on teaching – Based on tedious teaching observation and analysis of file recording process, it is apt to review the application for the acquired acknowledge of teachers and the implementation condition of plan quickly, in order for the comparison of self strength and weakness. (4) The efficacy of observing meeting and filing – The involvement of teacher colleagues in the teaching scene will give a review opportunity of teachers. (5) The efficacy of thinking and filing – The teachers record and file the review gain, it will be useful for future correction and revision, which also can be used as the reference of future teaching. (6) The difficulty for the execution of developmental teaching portfolios in the society learning field The execution problems of the “advanced learning”, “planning”, “teaching”, and “reviewing” are described.
