Hakka proverbs in Taiwan are the crystallization of our Hakka ancestors' wisdom and experience. It is closely linked with the life and social culture of Hakka tribal. Therefore, we may comprehend the social culture and the language characteristic by researching the proverbs. The purpose of this study was to probe Hakka proverbs in Taiwan and the vegetables lexical. The corpus originates mainly from three aspects: （1）The books about Hakka proverbs that are already published in Taiwan. （2）The issued periodicals and dissertations. （3）Fieldwork reaserch and network search that altogether collect to 267 pieces of vegetables proverbs corpus are used as take the foundation of the study.
The material of the study was focused on the analysis thyme in the different sentence structure above the corpus, the phonetic analysis of the word of Hakka proverbs vegetables lexical, the morphological analysis of vegetables lexical, the grammatical function research of vegetables, the relationship analysis of the sentence type structure and the number of words, the vegetables proverb classification research and the cultural connotation research.
The these contains seven chapters. The first chapter , the introduction, we introduce the motivation and the goal, the anticipated target, the range of study, the research step and method, and the institution of the research content. The second chapter divided into “the proverb definition” and “the literature analysis”. It contains close category analysis, related book, and periodical and paper discussion. The third chapter analyzes Hakka rhyme feature as well as the vegetables lexical used in Southern Fujian language, Hakka, Mandarian comparison through Hakka consonant and vowel rules.
The fourth chapter mainly aims at the vegetables lexical in the proverb morphological analysis and the grammatical function research, the relationship analysis of the sentence type structure and the number of words, The fifth chapter analyzes the rhetorical flavor of the vegetables proverbs. The sixth chapter mainly analyzes the classification characteristic of Hakka vegetables proverbs and conducts the cultural characteristic of vegetables proverbs. The seventh chapter will list item conclusion . Based on the conclusion of this study, future research are suggested.
