碩士 === 國立新竹教育大學 === 人資處造形藝術碩士專班 === 97 === As a creator of sculptures, I am deeply attracted by the quality and quantity of sculptures and iron is the best materials to express the flexibility of sculptures. Iron has the characteristics of extension, bending, straight, tough, and so on. Although it appears to be hard, iron has a very good development and plasticity. On the language of creation, it needs a stronger visual tension. Therefore, sculptures making of iron express the wonderful coexistence of hard and soft in a conflicting and harmonious manner. Iron is the main material for my sculptures in the recent years. After entering the institute, I would like to employ the linear pattern of welding as the main creation process to express the growth of plants and explore the mysteries of life. By means of welding, it is possible to change the rigid appearance of plant in our notion. Through the principle of beauty form, these sculptures may express the abstract world of the creator and interact with the heart of the audiences. This paper recorded the different stages in the search of inspiration of the creator. After forming the philosophy and combining with the present work, the creator was able to present the expected style through the expression of the form and establishment of the special characters of this work. The theory, philosophy, formation and construction, techniques, application and practice of this work were also described. Finally, the purpose of creating is to present the mysteries of life, toughness and tension and express a strong sense of mission through the creative work. By means of the work, the creator has to rethink the relation between man and nature as well as the meaning of life. The creative works can arouse love of life, treasure, and inspiration of people.
