Threat assessment is a new concept for the fusion of data and artificial intelligence field. There is no uniform definition, nor a generally accepted theory or method to complete the quantitative calculation so far. The threat evaluation is accomplished by simplified manner or superiority assessment method in the past. The evaluation process is complex and disorder increasingly due to the insufficient consideration completeness, the limited practicability and continuous amendment. This thesis evaluates the air combat situation with the sphere coordinate system based threat assessment. The evaluation algorithm of this thesis is improved from the past simplified manner or superiority assessment method. The result of the proposed threat assessment is more fit in with the actual situation and the drawback of the previous simplified theory is modified. This thesis proposes the impact factors and evaluation method for air combat threat assessment and mathematical modeling. The simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can recognize properly the threat situation of the fighter and the superiority for the threatened enemy by the fighter. The proposed algorithm is favorable for the development of real time Artificial Intelligence assistant system due to the structure of the algorithm is easy to understand and the operation speed is fast.
