Influences of Interpretive Volunteer's Personality Traits and Serious Leisure on Interpretation Effects and Tourist's Mindfulness

碩士 === 國立嘉義大學 === 休閒事業管理研究所 === 97 === According to International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources, functions of national park include environment education, economic facilitation, and environment conservation. Such environment education, it is usually done to educate countrymen through Interpretation. Thus, Interpretative service is a critical tool for national park management. Because national park interpretative service is almost served by interpretive volunteer who have serious leisure experience,different interpreter's characters and professional level may perform different interpretive service. In contrast, tourist may reflect different cognitive reception (i.e.,mindfulness) due to different comprehension and experience. This study chose Yanmingshan national park of Taiwan as research base and investigates influences of personality characteristics and serious leisure of interpretive volunteer on interpretive effect and mindfulness of tourists. Volunteers were a total of 37 valid questionnaires and 323 valid questionnaires tourists. The finding of this result shows: innovative and practical volunteers have a good presentation on interpretative organization and interpretive performance;volunteers who join serious leisure activities and have self-realization characteristics have a good presentation on interpretative principles, interpretative organization and interpretive technique; interpretation Effects were significantly, positively related to visitor’s mindfulness. Finally, this study provides the implications of the findings for government administration and directions for further research.
