There are 340 surveys have been sent out and 257 surveys have been received back, the recovery rate is 75.6%. The conclusions are made as follows: 1. Awareness of teachers’ professional growth and school effectiveness in elementary school in Taichung city and Taichung county is satisfactory. 2. There is significant difference of teachers’ professional growth on the variable of the teachers’ background as their sexes and their present positions, however, there are no significant differences on the variables of the teachers’ age, education and teaching seniority. 3. There is no significant difference of school effectiveness on the variable of different schools. 4. There is no significant difference of the school effectiveness on the variable of the teachers’ background as their sexes, ages, education and teaching seniority, however, there is significant difference on the variable of their present positions. 5. There is no significant difference on the variable of different schools that affects the whole school effectiveness and the consciousness of different levels. 6. The correlation between teachers’ professional growth and school effectiveness was positive. The higher the teachers’ professional growth is, the higher the school effectiveness will be, and vice versa. 7. Teachers’ professional growth is a significant factor of school effectiveness.
