spelling ndltd-TW-097NCYU51900142019-05-15T19:27:43Z http://ndltd.ncl.edu.tw/handle/ax2jvn Effects of Wood Composition and Specific Gravity on the Properties of Activated Carbon 木材化學組成及比重對於活性碳性質之影響 Yen-Chun Liu 劉彥群 碩士 國立嘉義大學 林產科學系研究所 97 The effects of chemical composition and specific gravity on the properties of activated carbon prepared from six wood species (Aleurites montana, Acacia confusa, Zelkova formosana, Chamaecyparis formosensis, Pinus morrisonicola, Taiwania cryptomerioides) were investigated.The results are summarized as foloows:Among six species the yield of Chamaecyparis formosensis activated carbon at activation temperature 800℃ and activation time 120 min was the highest(19.00%).The yield was not related to the lignin content of woods, but concerned with over-dried to specific gravity.The activated carbon yield of different ages from Acacia confusa showsd that,while the activation temperatures increas,the relationship was insignificntly among the six wood speies.The Iodine value of Aleurites Montana activated carbon at activation temperature 800℃ and activation time 120 min was the highest(1015mg/g), the Iodine value was not releated to the lignin content, but consided to arelationship with oven-driedspecific gravity in oven dry.The Iodine value of young Acacia confuse activated carbon at activation temperature 800℃ and activation time 120 min is the highest(933mg/g),related to its lignin content and inversely releated to its specific gravity in oven dry.The benzene adsorption of Aleurites Montana activated carbon at activation temperature 800℃ and activation time 120 min is the highest(26.42%), it was not releated to the lignin content,but more releated to the specific gravity in oven dry.The benzene adsorption of elder Acacia confuse activated carbon at activation temperature 800℃ and activation time 120 min was the highest(21.78%), related to its lignin content and inversely releated to its specific gravity in oven dry.From the above results,it can be concluded that the properties of activated carbon were related to the lignin content and specific gravity in oven dry of the raw material.
