Summary:碩士 === 國立彰化師範大學 === 工業教育與技術學系 === 97 === This study investigated the current management and teaching of junior high school classes, in order to understand the extent to which the teachers’ personal and professional backgrounds may impact on their class managing styles and teaching attitudes in regard with the implementation of the “zero corporal punishment policy”. This study surveyed current junior high school teachers in Taichung Area, Changhua County and Nantou County. A total of 965 copies of the questionnaire were sent to 28 schools. A total of 897 responses were collected, indicating a return rate of 92.95 percent. Among these, 130 were invalid, indicating a valid return rate of 79.48 percent. Results of these responses were analyzed using a series of statistical methods, including means, standard deviation, t-test, One-way ANOVA, and Scheffé’s posterior comparison. This study has obtained the following conclusions: 1.The teachers’ current styles of managing junior high school classes appeared to be most affected by the teaching environment of the grade in which each class is situated, and least affected by the teaching and learning atmosphere present in each class. 2.The teachers’ teaching attitudes toward junior high school classes were most affected by their feelings about teacher-student interactions, and least affected by their understanding of teir roles as teachers. 3.In regard with the implementation of the “zero corporal punishment educational policy”, the teachers’ style of managing junior hig school classes varied considerably according to each teacher’s age, accumulated years in service, position, the scale of his or her school, and the location of his or her school. 4.In regard with the implementation of the “zero corporal punishment educational policy”, the teachers’ teaching manners in junior high school classes varied considerably according to each teacher’s age, accumulated years in service, position, teaching subject, and the scale of his or her school.
