However, relevant polices and measures in respect of elderly welfare in Taiwan are just on the initial status and those social problems resulting from population aging, such as the health care industry for the aged, gradually emerge together with this phenomenon and the rapid transition of social structure. As a result, this research probes into what the real demand of the elderly people is toward health care organizations based on the growth trend of future aging population in Taiwan, as well as to be references to projects regarding development of health care and leisure gardens for the aged by comparing with those successful cases from competitors. This research adopts Qualitative Research Method to realize the future developing trend of health care and leisure garden industry for elderly people through the relevant information and literature of related governmental departments, competitors, and senior citizen’s demands. In addition, based on the development project “Q Company” this research utilizes analytic tools, starting from Porter Five Forces Analysis, the influences of macroeconomic environment on the industry and industry life cycle to proceed with the SWOT analysis, and further to realize each strength and opportunity of this project, and to make strategies against weaknesses and threats. Another evaluation standard is Balance Score Card. Through the application of BSC in this development project, the research examines various aspects, including the establishment of enterprise vision, strategic subjects mapping, setting up strategy objective and appraisal indicators, strategic action planning, and risk management arrangement, and can further verify the feasibility of this development project. It is discovered in this research that baby boomers will soon enter their aged life. With the constant accumulation of knowledge, middle-class people have more independent thoughts, better economic conditions, but weaker concept of “raising children for their life after retirement”. These make the development of health care and leisure garden industry for the aged in Taiwan more feasible, and it will be one of the major trends towards the development of senior citizen housing market in Taiwan. The conclusion derived from the feasibility appraisal of such development project in this research can provide a new direction to the industry development for those business groups or workers who will like to devote to the health care industry for senior citizens. none 李小梅 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 164 zh-TW |
