Summary: | 碩士 === 國立交通大學 === 傳播研究所 === 97 === The purpose of this research is to explore the interpretations and viewpoints on the magazine 《FHM》 by different genders in terms of the perspections of reception analysis, visual pleasure and scopophilia. Most importantly, this thesis pay close attentions to the comparison of the interpretation of different genders, with an in-depth interviews of 20-27 years old informants. The result shows that no matter what genders the audience belong to, they feel happy when they see nude pictures. Male audience has no fantasy to these pictures, but feels seductive and puts an emphasis on the oppressed and commodified images on women; on the other hand, female audience not only prefers to imagine and compare themselves with the images on the magazine, but also subverts the conventional stereotype of women image and considers sexy pictures as a representation of courage and confidence.
