The studies about numbers of firm in a specifically industry are so hard that be ignored by economist. Generally, the numbers of firm is given as exogenous variable in economics analysis. Hence, we try to analyze question by different viewpoints from firms and social planner. The second is a revisit of Prisoner’s dilemma. We compare the analogy between the Chinese old saying, Yu Bang Xiang Zheng, and the Prisoner’s Dilemma. The story of “Yu Bang Xiang Zheng” existed in ancient China for more two thousand years. Yet the Prisoner’s Dilemma, a classic illustration in game theory, emerged only a half century. Given the analogy between both, why one is more prevalent than the other is explored. Some implications onto management out of our exploration are also remarked in the analysis. Mau-Shan Shi 徐茂炫 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 53 zh-TW |
