Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班 === 97 === The finance and insurance industry of Taiwan has developed for over 40 years. Taiwan's insurance rate is 196.03%, that is, almost everyone in Taiwan has two policies. In the eye of new and highly-aware era, people of Taiwan emphasizes on Investments, Asset Management, and Retirement Planning. As a result, people accept the dual functional policies which shall act as both investment and investment protection. Yet the insurance rate and the average amount of insurance coverage in Taiwan are on the lower side. The insurance industry is highly regulated and protected by the government; therefore, foreign insurance companies operating specially in life insurance sector have been restricted by the government. In this highly competitive business environment, there is a need to take advantages of competition in the office scenario by organizing teams and creating stronger management to shape the organizational culture and train high quality employees.
For the above-mentioned reasons, this study surveys the a internal staff of a life insurance company in Taiwan evaluating different styles of leadership which will develop sub-culture of organizations, team cohesion and performance. This exercise is completed by using:
1. SPSS to verify the reliability and validity of the questionnaire.
2. Structural equation model by AMOS to analyze the interactive relationship between hypotheses.
3. T-test to verify the difference between sub-samples.
The results showed that transformational leadership has a significant effect over the formation of organized sub-culture, team cohesion, and performance; whereas, transactional leadership has produced different results than that. In this study, we base the results wishing to give practical recommendations and direction for future research.
