| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 高階管理碩士在職專班 === 97 === Information Technology Outsourcing (ITO) is a company's partial or complete outsourcing of computer or Internet related work to outsourcing suppliers. The purpose of ITO is to cut down on management related cost as well as running cost in order to obtain economics of scales, enabling enterprises to allocate their resources to develop their core competencies. The way to obtain a win- win situation for outsourcing service demanders and outsourcing service suppliers through ITO has become an extremely important issue.
Therefore, this research would be an explanatory study discussing how the three dimensions, planning analysis, supplier selection and outsourcing relationship management influence the current demand for outsourcing and future investment decisions based on reference from existing studies. Questionnaires would be developed to explore the current situation of high-tech ITO and the reasons enterprises choose to have their IT outsourced. The industries included in the survey are semiconductor industry, panel industry, solar industry, etc. Besides, the way service demanders react and make decisions while facing economic fluctuations would be discussed as well. Hopefully, this study would be beneficial and contributive for outsourcing service providers.
This research explores the relationship between the factors taken into consideration when deciding to outsource and the budget available for outsourcing through studying the three dimensions, planning analysis, supplier selection and outsourcing relationship management. Results show that some factors to consider when implementing outsourcing like the pricing strategies, investment strategies are positively affected by the economic situations. Through comparing the current situation of demanders and the results of researches for future investment decision, future IT outsourcing service providers would be equipped to provide better quality ITO service.
