Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 資訊工程學系碩博士班 === 97 === Mosaic originated in ancient Greece as a mosaic of the process. It is composed of many small tile or other materials, such as: glass, ceramics, metal, and so on. It’s a manner to form the art painting which has some special meaning to perform. It is easy to be discovered in the common public places for the decorative wall and floor in the real life. The Greeks distillate the mosaic art. They use pieces of glass, stone, marble blocks to pile more detailed design or painting. In modern times, some people start to extend the mosaic paintings from the plane to the three-dimensional objects, and with some successful results. This paper is an extended application of the Adaptive Geometry Image(AGIM). It based on the 3D mesh provided by AGIM to do mosaic collage, and to simulate the real 3D mosaic collage artists’ works. In the resulting mosaic tiles, we use Manhattan Voronoi Diagram(MVD) mainly to deal with the division of space. During producing Voronoi diagram, we will analysis the characteristics of the 3D model first to make tile fit geometric distribution of the model. And we also provide the user interface that be designed to guide the flow of the tiles and order so that we can better simulate the real results of the mosaic art.
