The survey has focused on how the demand of smartphones, or PDAs can be marked by certain consumer needs and preferences. Consumer information was collected using semi-structured interviews with both potential smart phone consumers and 56 experts within the smartphone industry. Through Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) analysis, this study was able to group consumer preferences in order of their importance, which highlighted some of the more prominent consumer preference trends. Results indicated that intuitive and easy interface, a facilitation of full range of mobile commerce, better hardware and stronger software specifications, and a more content-rich entertainment platform, were the major consumer preferences that influence the development of the smartphone industry. Research limitations and the directions for future research were also discussed. Shu-Hui Chen 陳淑惠 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 102 zh-TW
