All complexes were characterized by EA, IR,NMR, UV-Vis and fluorescence spectroscopy. Seven single-crystal structures of complexes 5a, 5b, 5c, 5e, 5f, 5g and 5i were also determined.The chemical-sensing experiments indicate that complex 5a shows a better selectivity toward pyridine bases than other complexes.
