Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 中國文學系碩博士班 === 97 === Researchers focused on Gan-Bao’s complete works while there are few studies concentrating on Gan-Bao himself. Why do so many studies ignore the author and merely place emphasis on his work Sou Shen Ji? Gan-Bao’s complete works includes Siku but much highlight is done on the book of Zi. There is food for thought. Therefore, Gan-Bao and his works were the main research of this study.
The study consisting of six chapters was twofold: the biography of Gan-Bao and the academic research. The former section, with the research background, is catalogued in Chapter Two. The later section is arranged in Chapter Three, Chapter Four and Chapter Five; and the main content is classified into Gan-Bao’s Siku into Jing, Shi, Zi, and Ji to analyze Gan-Bao’s academic ideas. Due to the majority of missing Ji documents, Ji was combined into Zi. The final section is the conclusion.
Each book of Siku emphasizes the historic background, the motives for writing, the inner thoughts, and the value of impacts; and they analyze the ideas of Gan-Bao’s work. Gan-Bao’s ideas consist of Confucianism and Anti-Confucianism. The former one is derived from the book of Yi Zhu–the elements of Yan Zhu Yin Fu; the later one is the anti-destiny and is composed from the reflection of historians.
Sou She Ji consists of Yan Zhu Yin Fu of the book of Jing, the reflection of the book of Shi, and the Anti-Confucianism of the book of Zi. Hence, there is the reflection of the book of Shi, and this was not the remains of the works. Due to the process of transformation, this complete work had not yet evolved into the stage of pure novels. Therefore, this thesis provides more thoughts outside the book of Zi for the researchers of Sou Shen Ji and re-orientated for the value of Sou Shen Ji in this time.
