Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 工程科學系專班 === 97 === BWA (Broadband Wireless Access) is one of the mainstreams in recent communication development。This article focuses on IEEE802.16 or WIMAX (Worldwide interoperability of microwave access)。A flexible bandwidth distribution mechanism is proposed to increase the accommodation of trafficking voice communication。In IEEE802.16,UGS (Unsolicited Grant Service ) is used to vehicle Voice over IP communication by giving fixed bandwidth. ertPS (Extended real-time Polling Service /ertPS) is another popular tactic to use Silence Compression with variable compression rates to maximize the efficiency。The fundamental protocol of IEEE 802.16’s is to keep everyone connected, regardless of their quality of channel state。The protocols will inherently sparing more bandwidth resources for those transmissions with bad signal quality。In consequences, the crowded bandwidth would hardly accommodate any new users。A more flexible approach is proposed to re-allocate the bandwidth from the low quality transmission to new users。The bandwidth distribution is now more for the users with accepted signal quality, instead of granting everyone equally regardless their signal quality。In this way,Enhanced the Resource Allocation Mechanism of 802.16e to Increase VoIP Connection Capacity。
