Summary: | 碩士 === 國立成功大學 === 土木工程學系碩博士班 === 97 === In the study, alkali-activated TFT-LCD binders were made from waste pure glass and LCD glass. The compressive strength of alkali-activated TFT-LCD binders was 211 kgf/cm2 when sodium hydroxide solution used as alkaline activating solution was stirred with waste glass at room temperature. Under adequate aging temperature, aging time and curing condition, however, the compressive strengths of TFT-LCD waste glass binders were much increased even sodium silicate was not added in alkaline activating solution. Hence, the production cost of alkali-activated TFT-LCD binders was reduced. Experimental results indicate that the compressive strengths of alkali-activated pure glass and LCD glass binders are 656 kgf/cm2 and 703 kgf/cm2 respectively if the optimal alkali-equivalent content of 15% is used. Moreover, the physical properties of LCD glass binders are consistently better than those of pure glass binders. It can be said that the effects of liquid crystal and ITO on the properties of alkali-activated glass binders are insignificant. Also, uncomfortable smell caused by LCD glass powders can be suppressed by the introduction of calcium hydroxide or bamboo coal. At last, the permeability of TFT-LCD binders is lower than that of portland cement, suggesting that their microstructure is more dense. The binding between TFT-LCD binders and fine aggregates is found to be strong. Thus, the replacement of portland cement by TFT-LCD binders is promising.
