A total of fifteen load-carrying fillet welded cruciform joint specimens, three fillet welded single lap joint specimens and five fillet welded double lap joint specimens were studied in this research, and all the specimens were tested and analyzed by the optimal digital image parameters obtained from the parameter study. The SIF results of the specimens determined by Digital Image Correlation Method and Least-Squares Method were as precise as the results from the finite element analyses or the formula provided in the British Standards BS7910.
