Summary: | 碩士 === 國立勤益科技大學 === 冷凍空調系 === 97 === The minimization of the direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) makes it easier to be applied in the daily life. Various minimization methods give the DMFC have considerations to both convenience and safety such lead the DMFC has more widely applications.
This thesis investigates three factors of the process of the minimization on the DMFC. The first one is to shrink the DMFC by self-made membrane electrode assembly (MEA) such makes the design on the small DMFCs more flexile. In addition, the research also discusses the effect on the cell performance under different environmental parameters of the experiments to figure out the proper operation conditions.
The second factor it to discuss the hot press temperature as well as hot press pressure during the hot press procedure and change the screw torque and the compression ratio of the MEA to find the better related parametric conditions.
The third one is to improve the flow board design. The experimental results show the closer to right angle areas at the corners of the flow channels, the large frictions present. Therefore, the improvement on the problem caused by the right angles of the flow channels corners and the surface treatment on the flow board could make the fuel flow and the bubbles drain out more smoothly.
