Due to the scale and location of each branch, the turnover is comparatively rough in judging the operation performance of each branch. As a result, data envelopment analysis (DEA) is used to estimate the performance of case branches. a. This research is in the light of home improvement companies to evaluate and analyze the operation performance. b. Via balance variable analysis, the inefficient branches can become efficient by appropriate improvement to promote the competitiveness of case company. c. In the end, the estimated efficiency can be applied to dispose the human power to prevent waste. To open a new store, the case company sets the goal and makes use of the present eleven branches to assess the legal value of a new-opened branch. Stage 1: The efficiency of the present branches is measured to find out unproductive ones. In accordance with unproductive branches, the case company can invest in or increase the output to advance the efficiency index of unproductive ones. Stage 2: After re-examining the present branches, under the prerequisite of the same efficiency of other branches, the top 25 percent productive branches are chosen to be the goal of new-opened one. Stage 3: In accordance with the present eleven branches, the operation area, operation expanse, the number of stores in the marketplace of the new twelfth branch can be estimated. Then, via the top 25 percent efficient branches, we could figure out the reasonable disposition of human power. Via scientific methods and estimation, we hope to increase the efficiency of case company and cause the waste of human resource from the subjective consciousness or experience or harm the commercial possibilities due to the insufficiency of human power.
