The only way to improve the public satisfaction with the policy is to do the job well that is closest to the people, such as garbage cleaning service of the sanitation squad.
This paper applying the DMAIC improvement strategy and management tools of Six-Sigma to investigate the service quality of sanitation squad to find out the best direction for improvement. The problems at garbage cleaning processes were figured out when sanitation squad collects refuse and trash by garbage trucks. Then the Taguchi optimization method was applied to arrange the carrying time and carrying load of the garbage trucks. It is expected to improve the service quality continuously by applying the DMAIC improvement strategy of Six-Sigma to achieve the time schedules and fuel saving. Then, the performance of human resource and the whole service quality level will be promoted by right dispatching of routes, right number of garbage trucks, right number of personnel, right truck size, and right time of services.
