Description
Summary:碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 電子商務研究所 === 97 === Learning a second language has been emphasized significantly in the language policy of most countries. In recent years, more and more researchers have noticed the potential of mobile learning in language because of the maturity of mobile technology. When it comes to mobile technology, this could make language learning more attractive and give people a different learning experience. Podcasting is one of mobile technology’s new applications. The purpose of this research is to find the factors that will influence the acceptance of applying Podcasting in language learning. In order to attain a better understanding of mobile technology acceptance, we conducted a survey of Taiwan and Chinese. The target of the sample was limited to the people who have experience of using Podcast or using Podcast learning language. The data were collected from 398 people using Podcast applications on a voluntary basis in Taiwan and collected from 533 people using Podcast application on voluntary basis in China. And then the author tested a proposed conceptual framework revised on Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) with moderating variables. After performing satisfactory reliability and validity checks, the structural model was tested with the use of PLS. Results indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, and facilitating conditions will influence behavioral intention. The results of Taiwanese data indicate performance expectancy that has especially obviously, and the results of Chinese data indicate facilitating conditions that has especially obviously. In addition, with the moderating variables, gender, age and experiment, the results of Chinese data indicate that performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence and facilitating conditions have significant. But Taiwanese data indicated that effort expectancy has insignificant with the moderating variable, gender. This finding understood the behavior of receptivity that the different between Taiwan and China people using Podcast learning language. And it can provide a high reference value and high feasible theory to mobile learning of Podcast and the relative industries of Podcast.
