It has become one of the most important issues for people today to well keep and access important and sensitive digital information in a safe and reliable way. Consequently, how to preserve and back up the vital data effectively and efficiently in an easily and flexibly accessible device is an essential subject for us to explore. The objective of this paper is to propose a web-feed assisted synchronization system for supporting remote data backup service by adopting the emerging Podcast technology. In this article, the design and implementation of the desired web-feed assisted synchronization system framework will be described, and subsequently, implementation examples illustrating how users can back up and recover their important file by using the derived framework will be presented. Moreover, the advantages together with identified business potentials of the proposed web-feed assisted synchronization system will also be discussed.
