The goals of the study were analyzing the process of the effects of work value on subjective well-being, including mediation effect of person-job fit and moderation effect of emotional intelligence. It is expected that the field of person-job fit was integrated more completely after above discussions. Design/methodology/approach-Our participants were 555 employees in the companies, who were introduced by EMBA students and the chiefs of the companies in central Taiwan. Data were collected via questionnaires. 287 usable questionnaires available, making the return rate reaching 52% respectively. Findings- 1. Individual’s work value was positively related to person-job fit. 2. Person-job fit was positively related to subjective well-being. 3. The degree of person-job fit was a mediator between individual’s work value and subjective well-being. 4. Individual emotional intelligence moderated the relation of work value and person-job fit. Conclusions/Suggestions- 1. It is important for the work value of employee when the company selects newcomers. If the member agrees this job, the concept of person-job fit will increase. 2. If the ideals of the employee cannot be satisfied during working, his concepts of person-job fit and subjective well-being will decrease, and the employee will make less effort or leave the position to balance his feelings. 3. High emotional intelligent employee will demonstrate his outstanding ability of emotion and make higher positive relation between work value and person-job fit. It is also vital to pay attention to emotional intelligence of workers in training, development, selection, and performance management of enterprise.
