Many exposed slopelands caused by landslides need to be revegetated as soon as possible. Polymer materials are widely used commercially. However, they are seldom applied to the conservation of soil and water or plants cultivation. Therefore whether the polymers Polyvinyl Alcohol(PVA) can be used as adhesives and soil conditioners to enhance the adhesive for protection against erosion of soil are important topics in the study of soil and water conservation. However the inhibition of seeds germination by the PVA was seldom discussed. In this study, the effects of PVA on the germination of Bahia grass, Bermuda grass, Carpet grass, perennial ryegrass, Chinese Lespedeza, Flame Gold-rain tree and, Purple bean (Siratro) seeds are examined. The results of this study showed that PVA is effective for use in slopeland hydroseeding to promote the aggregation stability of yellow soil, red soil, and muddy stone, and reduce soil erosion. The results also indicate that the 2% PVA wouldn’t inhibit the percentage germination of the plant seeds. It is believed that the PVA will be a suitable adhesive and soil conditioner in hydro seeding for soil and conservation. 鄭皆達 學位論文 ; thesis 131 zh-TW |
