| Summary: | 碩士 === 國立中興大學 === 中國文學系所 === 97 === This article researched seven contemporary poetry societies and their histories in Nantou. These poetry societies have practical activities from 1979 to 2008 as today. Field study was adopted as main resource in the paper. There are also discourses, analyses, statistics, and evaluations as well as pictures and charts.
The whole composition was divided into six chapters. Chapter one carries motivation, purpose, range, method, used literature and materials of this investigation. Chapter two introduced the histories and local characters of seven contemporary poetry societies, which are Lan-Tian poetry study society, Nantou Sinology study society, Nantou Shr-Yi-Jing society, Puli Yu-Hua Tong poetry society, Puli Shing-Jiue Tong poetry society, Wen-Shin Calligraphy poetry society, and Yu-Fong folk song society. Chapter three described important active members in the societies, gave their short biography and representative poems, and commented on their writing styles. Chapter four depicted the same frames among these poetry societies, as the different ones were in chapter five. Chapter six is conclusion, which covers the status and the meaning of the seven poetry societies, a look into the future, and their cooperation condition with academic institution.
Since researches about Nantou non-government poetry societies have been less concerned by scholars, related papers are few. This survey is to establish field study data at first hand, and to draw investigators’ attention to Nantou non-government poetry societies so that we can proceed further studies hereafter.
