Due to rainfall space-time assigns unevenly and social economy area development, the problems of water resource shortage is increasing seriously. How to utilize effectively the reservoir resource to make it satisfied in water demand of each goal and sustainability is the primary subject in fact. In the reservoir operation method, many theories could be used to solve the reservoir operation effectively. This research mainly investigates the fuzzy inference method for solving the reservoir operation. In the traditional fuzzy theory, reservoir inflow and reservoir storage capacity are usually considered into decision factors. However, the policy of drawing off water would be more concrete if the reservoir prediction inflow could be predicted. Reservoir inflow, reservoir storage capacity and reservoir prediction inflow are considered into decision factor to establish a fuzzy inference rule in this study. This research uses the data analysis of weather prediction, combines physics model and traditional fuzzy model to obtain operation connection. Eventually, the study establishes the fuzzy inference model to apply the operation of Tseng Wen reservoir. The results show that the fuzzy inference model has better performance than the traditional MT10 rule curve.
