A sustainable structure shall not be limited solely by the cost of construction. Environmental ecology, landscape architects are a few of the key points leading to the sustainability of a construction project. This thesis adopts the index of existing “Green Construction”, “Green Buildings” and “Green Material” and develops a combined check list of sustainable design and selection of retaining structures. The proposed evaluation assessment is recommended for engineers, project owners who are responsible for selecting retaining wall construction alternatives. The assess men criterion are explained and proposed as the base for promoting sustainable infrastructure.
