Description
Summary:碩士 === 明新科技大學 === 企業管理研究所 === 97 === This study focused on the China and India, the rising of emerging countries in Asia for the impact on steel prices. In order to confirm whether to have shifting of the funds, joining Taiwan for compared with China and India. The study period is from January 2005 to August 2008. We adopted unit root test, cointegration and Granger causality test to analyze China, India and Taiwan, the economic variables of three countries with steel price index exist long-term cointegration and short-term leading and backward relationship. The empirical results show that the Asia steel price index exists cointegration relationship with China’s consumer price index, and Global steel price index exists cointegration relationship with Indian industrial production index. By Granger causality found consumer price index in Taiwan and China leading Asia steel price index, industrial production index in India leading Global steel price index, and Global steel price index leading Indian consumer price index.
