Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Supply Chain Management (SCM) represent important technology investment options for operation managers. ERP systems provide benefits in the area of transaction automation; SCM systems provide sophisticated planning capabilities. The results are based on a sample of 89 announcements both of ERP and SCM implementations. We discuss the ERP benefits, firm competences, and supply chain performance. We apply rough set theory (RST) to discover important ERP attributes leading to the success of SCM. ERP was seen as offering a positive contribution to the supply chain issues: (1) improve productivity (2) more customization of products and services; (3) more standardized processes and information and greater transparency of the marketplace. Implications for subsequent research and management practice are discussed. 帥嘉珍 200907 學位論文 ; thesis 58 zh-TW
