Summary: | 碩士 === 銘傳大學 === 管理研究所 === 97 === In the world of electronic business, the development in information technology has an enormous effect on development of more feasibility e-business transactions hence more user e-business air-line services. Electronic air-line services are new in Nigeria, and the development and diffusion of these technologies by air-line industries is expected to move efficient air-line services system. This technology offers quick delivery services to their customers in a more conveniently and economically without diminishing their existing services level.
In recent years, almost half of Nigerian’s air-lines have started to offer internet services to their customers. The purpose of this research was to analyze the issues that influence Nigerian air-lines industry towards adopting
ejecting e-business. Based on a detailed literature review, a research model was developed. Four major factors were identified and analyzed in order to gain a better understanding of e-business adoption. A quantitative research approach was used to gain understanding of these factors; Hypotheses were drawn based on nine variables identified under the four factors. The empirical data were collected from all the Nigerian air-lines in operations as at the time of this study by the use of questionnaires. Data analyses were done based on the research question.
The T-test analyses completed in this study shows that the factors: management support, technical staff competence, technology infrastructure resources, perceived benefits, perceived risk tolerant, complexity of innovations and industries supports, market forces Support are factors which exert a significant impact on the adoption of e-business in Nigeria airlines but government support which was one of the factors was not confirmed.
Finally, with the results from respondents data- after analysis and a conclusion was drawn with the implications for research and practice are discussed, along with opportunities for further research, and the limitations of this study were made.
