| Summary: | 碩士 === 立德大學 === 資訊傳播研究所 === 97 === The library plays an important role in fulfilling the missions of providing information, supporting lifelong learning and enriching our cultural life. With the development of information and communication technology (ICT), a library has to apply new information products effectively to library management system for upgrading its effectiveness and satisfying its main objects of servicing its readers.
It’s exactly what we are interested in. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) has the characteristics of batch reading,readable/writable tags, and immediate response, and it has been used to replace traditional barcodes.
In this study, RFID is applied to implement a Library Periodical Management System (LPMS) to shorten the time used in borrowing and managing of journals, to provide the decision makers with a basis on which to select journals, and to better solve the problem of investment in fully using RFID technology within a library.
