A good management of business process can solve the problem in the process to improve working effieciency and quality. The brick-and-motor industry in Taiwan should think about how to use information technologies to integrate the resouces over the world for gaining the niche of suvivability and competition.
Lotus Notes is one of colleborative application software, it can focus on that information could be shared among teamwork members, process could be controlled. It supports a group of people doing daily works by a collaborative plant form to increace business productivity.
How much the business process efficiency could be improved is decided by whether the Lotus Notes implementation is success or not. From database planning, program control and excuting to system maintenance after database implementation, in the life cycle of database, there are some factors are critical success factors, and they could be the index of successful database measurement.
This study observed the Lotus Notes database developing process of an electric wire cable firm. We developed the criteria to build assessment levels architecture which were qualified to adapt the simple additive weighting method. And we used the result through the assessment level architecture as a benchmark for success evaluation of Lotus Notes database development.
