This study is to investigate the correlation between work value, role stress and job involvement of adjunct administrative teachers in public elementary schools in Changhua County for understanding of the differences among them, each other’s needs and how to operate in coordination at work.
This research was conducted in the sample of teachers from 30 public elementary schools in Changhua. With stratified sampling, 10 schools were drawn from each school size. The researcher distributed 230 questionnaires to teachers and 205 of them were returned. Among the returned questionnaires, 186 were complete and valid. The research instrument was questionnaire on the study of the correlation between work value, role stress and job involvement of adjunct administrative teachers in public elementary schools in Changhua County. Its contents were basic data, work value questionnaire, role stress questionnaire, and job involvement questionnaire. All the data were analyzed by SPSS12.0/PC in aspects of percentage, average, Pearson product-moment correlation coefficient, t-test, One-Way ANOVA and processed by statistical methods, including stepwise multiple regression analysis and so forth. A conclusion was made depending on the result.
Below are the results of this study:
1. Work value is highly regarded by Adjunct administrative teachers in any aspect.
2. Adjunct administrative teachers have more role stress in the aspect of the conflict between motivations and expectations.
3. Adjunct administrative teachers heavily involve themselves in the job and think greatly of job involvement.
4. Work value of adjunct administrative teachers is remarkably and positively connected to their job involvement.
5. The more stress adjunct administrative teachers have, the less they get involved into jobs.
6. Work value and role stress of Adjunct administrative teachers lead to noticeable and predictable job involvement.
