It not only has big influence for the design of visual communication but also offer great effects for teachers and students. This thesis is a study based on the design which is incorporated into the remedial teaching of rectangular solid and cube. It has good effects for higher grades children who are low achiever in learning Mathematics to improve their space ability. This research uses quasi-experimental design, and I conducted a research on fifth grade students in two classes. 26 students who are low achiever in learning Mathematics among two classes are selected. 13 of them are chosen in the experimental group randomly to have computer animation-assisted instruction. The other 13 students are in the control group taught by expository-teaching. The study compared students’ learning performances of the attitude of learning geometry and the unit of rectangular solid and cube, learning effects and the differences between learning ability. I gather information through students’ performance of pretest, posttest, postpone test, teaching protocol, records of interview and teaching reflection, and analyze students’ learning effects, learning situations and spatial ability by the thinking of amount for major, quality for assistance. The results are as followings: 1.The students who are law achiever gained the effect of immediate and reserved ability through computer animation-assisted instruction. 2.Students who are interviewees have positive attitude toward computer animation-assisted instruction. They think that computer animation-assisted instruction can let students realize the course more, have an impression and elevate the interests of learning. 3.The computer animation-assisted instruction I designed with visual design principles I made can convey messages effectively. 4.Teaching designers should design computer animation-assisted instruction by depending on learners’ experience and background to use element of visual communication. The findings of the thesis can serve as reference for teaching. Using dynamic illustration or computer animation to teach geometry can reach the goal of effective, vivid, satisfying teaching. Students can improve their learning ability and change their learning attitude by understanding the unit of rectangular solid and cube through folding and unfolding the geometric figures. Dynamic illustration or computer animation has significant effects for low achiever in learning spatial concept. Chen, Chien-Wen 陳健文 2009 學位論文 ; thesis 130 zh-TW
