There are two basic rules in Steganographic research - the capacity of hiding secret data and the quality of stego-image. This paper proposes an image hiding technology, which combines Codebook design technique and Genetic Algorithm (GA), to retain the two base rules in Steganography. Besides such image hiding technology, this study also utilizes bit-level processing, halftoning scheme and color model conversion scheme. The research shows this technology can be applied to binary image, grayscale image and true color image for both secret images and cover images.
