The study on two kinds of ultra-wideband printed slot antennas with asymmetrical semi-circle slots is first presented in Chapter Two. By choosing the proper ratio of two semi-circle slots, the multi-broadband operation can be obtained. In Chapter Three, we proposed a compact microstrip-line-fed Planar UWB Slot Antenna. With the antenna size cut off by a half of size and with the use of the offset microstrip feed line, the bandwidth enhancement for multi-wideband operation and size reduction can be achieved. In Chapter Fourth, with a U type of parasitic strip embedded along the bottom slot the band-notched operation at the WLAN band can be achieved. In this thesis, ultra-wideband, compact and band-notched slot antennas are presented. They are suitable for the Ultra-Wideband applications and their impedance bandwidths, determined by 10 dB return loss, can reach above 120%.
