However, facing intense competition and environmental fast change, firms have to change business strategy. To solve theses problems, firms can obtain related resources and reduce uncertainty effect by strategy alliances. Selecting the right partners is the key successful factors to strategy alliances. Through making a survey of 108 steel firms, this study adds to the control variables and explores the influences of environmental uncertainty and alliance’s motives on partner selection by using one-way ANOVA method. Our findings highlight the environmental uncertainty significant effect the partner selections. Our findings also demonstrate differences among alliance motives and partner selection criteria.
