Summary: | 碩士 === 國立高雄應用科技大學 === 化學工程與材料工程系 === 97 === In this study, the indium tin alkoxide solution was coated on the polymer substrate by spin coating method to form ITO/polymer composites. Poly(ethylene terephthalate) (PET) and polyimide (PI) film containing carbonyl group (>C=O) were used as substrates. In order to increase the adhesion between polymer substrate and ITO, we grafted polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) structure onto the PET and PI film by surface grafting method.
The PET and PI film were beforehand treated with KOH aqueous solution, and then re-treated with HCl aqueous solution to yield carboxylic group (-COOH). An amino group (-NH2) on one end of 3-aminopropyltri methoxysilane (APTMS) was used to react with carboxylic group on the surface of polymer substrate. The siloxane groups on the other end of APTMS proceeded hydrolysis and condensation reaction to produce POSS structure. That result in grafting POSS structure on the surface of polymer film. The grafting POSS structure onto the surface of PET and PI film was successfully achieved and proved by ATR-FTIR, XPS and Contact Angle Meter. The morphology of POSS structure laid over on the surfaces of PET and PI films can be investigated by SEM, EDX, and AFM, respectively.
On the other hand, the highly purity ITO precursor, tin-doped indium alkoxide, was successfully synthesized, and coated on the surface grafted POSS structure of PET and PI film by spin coating method. The synthesized tin-doped indium alkoxide was by 1H NMR. From the cross-cut stick test, the POSS structure grafted on the surface of PET and PI film can increase adhesion between substrate and ITO. ITO coated on the surface of PET film was dried at 60 oC for 30 min, and annealed at 200 oC for 12 hr under the vacuum immediately, but it showed noncrystalize and sheet resistivity was higher than 2×108 Ω/sq by XRD and four point probe measurement, respectively. On the side, the sheet resistivity of ITO coated on the surface of PI film annealed at 300 oC for 12 hr was approximately 4×107 Ω/sq. After repeat coated 4 times, the minimum sheet resistivity was 5×104 Ω/sq.
