Nowadays, the photovoltaic technology is getting more mature. Taiwan locates on lower latitude with plentiful sunshine, and one of the top ten photovoltaic cell manufacturer is from Taiwan. Taiwan should have a good chance to develop the photovoltaic technology, however, it’s not very popular to everyone. One of the reason is the high cost of installation fee cause people to ignore the advantages by using photovoltaic system.The goal of the research is to analyze the installation cost of photovoltaic system in Taiwan by ESH (Equivalent Sunshine Hours) and NPV (Net Present Value) to establish an economic equation with system factors for photovoltaic system and to create an irradiation database. Finally, developing a easy software by using the economic equation. The expectation of this proposal is to provide the convenient and effective ways to the photovoltaic system user.
