Description
Summary:碩士 === 開南大學 === 企業與創業管理學系 === 97 === Our government opened up the way for the veteran servicemen back to Mainland China in 1987 and the investment has increasingly been brought along ever since. However, contrary to this situation, Taiwan’s construction industry has been keeping a low rate of investment in China. As we could predict the rapid economic growth in China would be going on for long, it is time for Taiwan to value the issue of construction investment in China market. The purpose of this research is to understand our construction industry’s investment inclination toward China in the hope that concerned factors and variable connections could be learned. In addition, our government could follow to improve or draw up profitable plans or policies on this matter. This paper includes a questionnaire survey from 329 Taiwan construction companies of which 168 questionnaires are valid. SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7.0 are applied to analyze the data and output descriptive statistics and SEM analyses. Four conceptual aspects and three hypotheses are developed in this paper. As a result, it is evidenced that the investment inclination is notably influenced by Eclectic Framework, Enterprise Characteristic, and Host Country Environment. This paper concludes with several suggestions, understanding or stimulating the investment inclination toward China construction market based on the research result, to both the government and the construction industry. Further recommendations are also given to the future researchers to study issues concerning construction investment location or performance in China.
